The
Band: Studio Drive studiodrive@verizon.net
Five people dedicated to performing
classic rock that "doesn't suck". Too often bands
billed as "classic rock" play the same old, tired, three
chord songs everyone has seen done a hundred times. These
five are different. Taken individually, each member is a highly
skilled veteran of his craft. As a whole, Studio Drive is
truly a sum of its parts. The band brings audiences in Southern
New England a different classic rock experience, playing high energy
songs you remember from the 80's and more that are filled with progressive
sounds, intricate rhythms, and layered harmonies. All of this
is done for YOU, the fan. Despite the very full 80s sound,
it is all being performed live with no backing tracks or sequencing.
It is the band's goal to see to your listening and dancing pleasure
and insure a memorable, live-music experience.

Lead Vocals,
Rhythm and Acoustic Guitar: Jeff Beaucage
A passionate singer with a great voice & the moves. Jeff
is a master at getting the attention of the audience, and especially
that of the ladies, by playing the role of lead singer/frontman
in ways that are lacking in many other bands today. Though his voice
is uniquely his own, he manages to capture the tones of each singer
he covers. He sings the majority of Studio Drives material,
and is truly someone the audience will not forget.

Lead and Rhythm
Guitar, Keyboards and Vocals: Randy Jenkins
Randy thinks this
is the best group he has played with in his entire musical career,
which spans 4 decades.
His full, dynamic guitar sound blends perfectly with the harmonic
driving force which is StudioDrive."
Randy can be heard occasionally singing lead vocals, and filling
in on keyboards providing Studio Drive with a full 80s sound.
Randy's fabulous guitar collection includes a '68 Gibson Les Paul
and a Paul Reed Smith.

Multi-Keyboards,
Keytar and Vocals: Nate Goulet n8goulet@gmail.com
Nate AKA "The Professor", is an animated, progressive
rock multi-keyboardist. Unlike some other bands, keyboards in Studio
Drive are not an instrument used just to fill in the background.
You will frequently hear Nate soloing on the lead synthesizer or
some other instrument. This is an art that seems have been lost
after the 1980s. Through his extensive knowledge of computers and
synthesizers, Studio Drive has provided the perfect outlet to showcase
his skills as a multi-instrumentalist covering not only keyboard
sounds, but also sounds of instruments not usually performed by
a keyboardist.
Jeff & Nate have reunited as band mates after a 15 year absence,
previously together in Smart Cactus. Both
of them have roughly a 150 mile round trip from RI to band practice
on the Cape. That should pretty much sum up how we feel about
this band. On a couple songs during the show, Nate will take
over the lead vocals with a voice that will stand out on songs that
require an exceptional vocal range. Think "Eye of the tiger".
You will usually hear him covering bands like Styx, Foreigner, Kansas
& Yes. Or the song the band chose for him to cover, The Outfields
"Your love" which has became a crowd favorite.
Nate's unique setup
includes the use of a wireless Keytar, multiple keyboards, a laptop
computer, vintage & state of the Art equipment including Moog,
ARP, Prophet, Oberheim, Yamaha, Roland, Casio, Nord, Hammond organ
with leslie, Korg and almost anything you can imagine including
sax, flute, violin, orchestral and even electric guitar.

Bass Guitar,
Vocals: Dave D'angelo
Dave, along with brother Mike D'Angelo, really anchors
the S.D. sound. He plays a Steinberger XL2, a Rickenbacker 4001S,
and a Fender 5-string Jazz Bass through a Hartke 7000 bass system.
Dave knows that in the course of the night, StudioDrive will have
played something for everyone in the audience.

Drums, Percussion:
Mike D'angelo
Mike is the perfect drummer for StudioDrive. He has
a great feel for dynamics and timing, and is the backbone of a very
tight rhythm ( sp.) section. With this band's taste of music and
energy, Mike knows that StudioDrive is going to be busy. It's a
lot of fun going back to your roots when it still feels fresh. It's
just good music.
